RUIS contains configuration options that allow users to specify how the software manages and calculates data. It also offers report generation options so users can produce reports that conform to local needs.
Days, Start / End Times And Period Lengths
Options are available to set days of the week, start and end times, and minimum period lengths. If your institution has complicated start time patterns, period numbers can also be used.
Datasets And Planning Periods
RUIS uses the concept of Planning Periods to distinguish between different datasets. This can be an academic year, semester, term, or even a single week. An unlimited number of Planning Periods can be entered. Comparison reports can compare utilisation for up to four Planning Periods.
All data objects in RUIS can use data labels defined by the user. For example, an institution may want to label the RUIS object "Building" as "Facility". User labels appear in menu items as well as reports.
RUIS supports RGB colours for both charts and Comparison Reports. Up to ten chart data points can be allocated a user-defined colour.
Report And Chart Titles
Users are able to enter a default title for all reports and charts, which can also be changed for specific reports if necessary.
